When I met my husband I knew from the start he was my soul mate....But ...There was one thing I had to adjust to.....A HOUSE FULL OF KIDS. At the time, I had my daughter , she was still at home and she was 15 so things were pretty quiet. Boy did that change...lol. The only time I had been around so many kids at one time was at family reunions with my cousins. Well this may sound like there were a dozen kids... Well not quite that many. There were only 4 girls and one boy and one really cute little lady about 2. The 4 girls and 1 guy were hubby's kids and the little 2 year old was his granddaughter. As I said a HOUSE FULL....lol. When we married that added 2 more to the house.
In the beginning we all had a lot of adjustments to make and we all went thru alot of hard times. We have had our ups and downs thru the years but I have only grown to love all of them more and more. I now have 5 grand kids and 1 more on the way. I would not take anything for none of them. They all have their own special way about them. And their own special place in my heart.
There was a time in our past that my kids would agree I am sure that I was the mean STEP-MOM, but as I said we all have changed. We all have grown and become better people. I have turned my life over to the LORD and that has really change me. I truly love them now as my own.
For any Step-parents out there that are having trouble reaching the children....just truly open your heart and let them in.....you will see the difference.
During that time I know it had to be hard on my hubby. He knows how sorry I am for putting him thru that. He is still my soul mate and will always be.
Everyone should be able to have that kind of love in there life.
Well I will close this blog now. I am no longer a mean Step-Mom, To one of my step-kids, I am now just MOM...and to the grand kids..its Nana...Nana. This daughter and her 2 girls have changed my life so very much and I thank them for this and love them so very much. Bye for now :~)
